Alison Boggs Bio

Alison Boggs became an attorney in 1991 and brings with her 21 years of diverse experience in the legal profession. She is an idealist and believes that government should be limited in power, fiscally conservative, and above all, true to the constitution and the people it represents. It’s for these reasons that Alison has chosen to leave a successful private law practice in order to serve, once again, the people of Union County.

Professional experience

Alison served as the Union County Prosecutor from 2001–2004. Since then, Alison has worked as a criminal defense lawyer. This experience has given her insight into how to take apart the state’s cases, making her a better prosecutor by recognizing weak points and knowing how to fix them.

Her early career is rich in public service including working for the Union County Child Support Enforcement Agency where she established and enforced child support orders and supported the Union County Prosecutor in court proceedings. She spent time as a teacher at Columbus State Community College teaching students about Human Services Programs. She has experience with a broad spectrum of legal proceedings from juvenile court, Guardian ad Litem work, felony and misdemeanor defense/prosecution, domestic cases…the list goes on.
